Punctuating Title of Works:
CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.5.2.d
Use underlining, quotation marks, or italics to indicate titles of works.
This is not on the Unit 1 Map, but is a skill the students will use throughout the year. It should be taught at the beginning of the year and reinforced throughout.
This can be shown to the whole group or small group. Students should use white boards to record answers to how the type of work should be punctuated.

A Brief Video to Introduce Punctuating of Titles
Let's Try It...
Once students have been taught the correct way to punctuate titles. Give each a whiteboard. As you show the presentation, have them write out what to do on the whiteboard. Just a quick assessment of what they have learned.
